Dionysis Grammenos makes US debut with Houston Symphony Orchestra

Last weekend saw Greek conductor Dionysis Grammenos make his US debut with the Houston Symphony Orchestra in the closing concert of the Miller summer series. The programme included Coleridge-Taylor Ballad, Haydn Cello Concerto in C major and Dvořák Symphony No. 8.

Dionysis will return to the US in November when he will appear at Carnegie Hall with the Greek Youth Symphony Orchestra, in an exciting programme that includes Bernstein Symphonic Dances from Westside Story, Anna Clyne <<rewind<< and a selection from Nikos Skalkottas 36 Greek Dances.
