Passionate about the music of Johannes Brahms, Grammenos recently conducted the Second Symphony with the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra in Bangkok. The Serenade magazine, commented after his performance: “The maestro, who cuts a dashing figure at the podium with his matinee-idol looks, led a strong performance of Johannes Brahms’ Symphony No. 2 (D major, Op. 73), conveying both the cheerful nature that pervades the work as well as the drama that underlies it – not an easy balance to pull off.”
Below you can watch a short clip of him rehearsing the Symphony’s first movement at the Prince Mahidol Hall.
