Dionysis Grammenos has conducted several of the world’s finest orchestras including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, jumping in to conduct them at the eleventh hour, in a performance of Brahms 4 at the Megaron, and joining them again in the 25/26 season, the Houston Symphony with whom he made his US debut recently and with the Philharmonia Orchestra for Signum Classics. He has conducted the Belgian National Symphony Orchestra, Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Royal Northern Sinfonia, Athens State Orchestra, Orchestre Symphonique de Quebec, Cameristi della Scala, Lucerne Festival Strings, Ulster Orchestra and has worked with soloists such as Leonidas Kavakos, Khatia Buniatishvili, Renaud Capuçon, Noah Bendix-Balgley, Daniel Ottensamer, Anna Fedorova and Mahan Esfahani. He is praised regularly for his innate and instinctive musicianship, the clarity and efficiency of his conducting and his proficiency for shaping the sound of the orchestra.

Dionysis Grammenos first came into contact with music as a child through the sound of the wind bands in his native island Corfu in Greece, and took up the clarinet.
He quickly gained an international reputation by winning the 1st Prize at the European Young Musicians Competition by the European Broadcasting Union in Vienna at the age of 18 and the title of the "European Young Musician of the Year 2008".
His passion for the symphonic repertoire, opera and the human voice gave him the impetus to embark on a conducting career.
He made his conducting debut at the age of 21 with the Vienna Chamber Orchestra.
Grammenos was awarded the ECHO Rising Star Prize as an instrumentalist in 2013 and a Fellowship as a conductor at the Aspen Music Festival in 2016.
He is Founder & Artistic Director of the Greek Youth Symphony Orchestra.
